F/T Position

Pay: $18 - $20/hour

Thank you for considering this position to make a difference in the life of a non-verbal 33 yr old woman who has a fun-loving, spunky personality and loves to laugh. As a support provider you will play a crucial role in filling her day with meaningful, productive experiences both in the home and out in the typical community, expanding and broadening this young woman’s life. These experiences include activities of daily living, regular exercise, recreational, and social activities, as well as work and volunteer opportunities.

Responsibilities:

· Support activities of daily living to promote greater independence

· Support and assist in daily exercise

· Provide transportation to, and support in, activities outside the home/in the local community

· Explore ways to creatively integrate further in her typical community

· Provide support in work and volunteer positions

· Support and expand social/recreational activities within the typical community

· Support and expand communication skills

Qualifications:

· A kind, loving, nurturing female able to think ‘outside the box’

· A self-starting, outgoing person, comfortable with initiating community connections

· An energetic person with an active lifestyle who enjoys the outdoors and animals

· Must be patient, respectful, and honest w/a flexible, go-with-the-flow personality

· Comfortable with supporting some challenging behaviors

· High school graduate or equivalent

· Must have a valid driver’s license and ability to use your vehicle to transport individual

· Experience preferred
